Officials say these officers earned these awards after an incident on Saturday, Jan. 12. Sergeant Justin Bisceglie, Officer Javier Mogollon and Officer Ralph DeVito responded to a residence on the report of an unconscious person. They quickly noticed that the person was not breathing and began ventilation.

The officers also determined that the individual was suffering from an overdose of opioids. Within minutes, they successfully administered Narcan and the person was once again able to breathe on their own.

“Congratulations to the 2019 January Officers of the Month,” said the NPD announcement.
